The national museum of a country, as a cultural symbol of the nation, plays an important role in cultural communication at home and abroad. This study explores the online brand identity construction of two national museums—the British Museum and the National Museum of China—to inform cultural brands of the discursive strategies to distinguish themselves from others and communicate with their audiences effectively. Informed by multimodal critical discourse analysis, this paper analyzes the websites of the two museums and their social media posts, depicts their brand identity prisms, and evaluates the effectiveness of their online communication. The results show that both museums use multimodal and hypertextual resources to create unique and congruent brand images in website design and social media interaction with their target audiences, fulfilling the institutional functions of museums as the symbol of national culture or world civilization. They express differential personalities and cultural values to reinforce their brand identities in different sociocultural and political contexts. The findings may provide insight into the use of multimodality in online communication for cultural institutions to enhance their brand images and promote cultural exchanges.

<b>Background:</b> Scapulohumeral periarthritis commonly afflicts individuals in their middle age. Its etiology is multifaceted, and treatment presents a challenge with a high risk of recurrence. The main symptoms include shoulder pain and limited joint mobility, seriously affect the quality of life of the patients. Recent research indicate that acupuncture combined with bloodletting cupping can significantly improve the function of activity of shoulder joint and the pain in individuals with scapulohumeral periarthritis. However, these studies have typically been limited in scope, therefore additional research to substantiate the efficacy and safety of these intervention. <b>Methods:</b> To evaluate the efficacy of acupuncture combined with bloodletting cupping for treating patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis. We conducted an online search of databases in both Chinese and English, including PubMed, the Cochrane Library, Embase, Web of Science, CNKI, Wangfang Data, China Science and Technology Journal Database (VIP) and Chinese BioMedical Literature Database (CBM), to collect randomized controlled trials (RCTs) concerning the use of acupuncture combined with bloodletting cupping in scapulohumeral periarthritis patients. We also examined the references within the identified literature. Search utilised subject headings and free-text terms in both languages, without racial restrictions, for records up to April 3, 2024. Two researchers independently screened the literature, extracted data, and evaluated their qualities. RevMan 5.3 software was used for meta-analysis of the included studies. The protocol of this review was recorded in the International Platform of Registered Systematic Review and Meta-analysis Protocols (PROSPERO). Its registration number is CRD42023454614. <b>Results:</b> This review incorporated 22 RCTs involving a total of 1,774 patients. The results of meta-analysis showed that the clinical effective rate (RR=1.25, 95%CI [1.20, 1.30], P＜0.00001) of treating scapulohumeral periarthritis with acupuncture combined with bloodletting cupping was higher in the experimental group than in the control group. The all of Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score (MD=-1.70, 95% CI [-2.17, -1.22], P＜0.00001). Melle score (SMD=-2.45, 95% CI [-2.55, -2.34], P=0.007]) and recurrence rate (RR=0.23, 95% CI [0.07, 0.77], P=0.02) were lower in the experimental group than in the control group with statistical significance (P<0.05). <b>Conclusion:</b> The acupuncture combined with bloodletting cupping for the treatment of shoulder impingement syndrome demonstrates definite efficacy and safety, with superior clinical effectiveness, pain relief, improvement in shoulder joint mobility, and reduction in recurrence compared to acupuncture alone. Therefore, it is worthy of being promoted and applied clinically.

The Chinese film <i>Wolf Warrior II</i> floats all the way at the domestic box office, and jumps into the top 100 of the world's film box office rankings. It has achieved great economic success and ratings are overwhelmingly positive in China. Nevertheless, in stark contrast to this, <i>Wolf Warrior II</i> is cold at the box office abroad, and the word of mouth is not satisfactory. Transcreation is the re-creation or adaptation of content for a group of specific target audience. As an inter-related process of translation, a successful and holistic transcreation can arouse the same emotions as well as connotations produced in the target language as the source language. There are different perspectives to detailed translation analysis of China’s identity as a prominent character of contemporary society. Insofar as this research probes into the branding and in subtitle translation, it also constructs a binary theoretical model based on triadic signs of intersemiotic translation and metafunctional framework of multimodal analysis to testify China’s core values in this film and beyond.

The active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) are very critical substances for generic drugs. Any issue in the global supply chain for sourcing APIs heavily impacts generic drugs demands in the market. It is imperative to keep a close eye on the API supply in order to spot possible priorities for domestic manufacturing as well as bottlenecks in the US pharmaceutical supply chain. Most of the API's are manufactured in countries like India and China, and any issue in the manufacturing or supply of the API's may critically impact generic drug production globally. The Government and regulatory agencies must take initiatives to mitigate the risk of supply chain interruptions in the API business.

The Internationalization of higher education has plummeted since the 2010 tightening of migration policies. This study aims to examine the retention and graduation rates of international students at Northern Arizona University (NAU). Using a quantitative analysis approach, the study utilized secondary data from the Center for International Admission and Recruitment Office at NAU to examine the university’s recruitment, graduation, and retention strategies. The aim was to evaluate the impact of internationalization strategies on application and enrolment numbers. The study sample consisted over 2000 international students from fourteen countries, including China, India, Vietnam, Kuwait, Nepal, Ghana, Nigeria, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Canada, Mexico, France, and Iran in four cultural groups (Asia, Europe, Africa, and North America). A random sampling technique was used to select these countries partly because of their highest applications, enrolment numbers, as well as their adoption of recruitment strategies like those used by higher education institutions in the United States. A descriptive graphic representation, focusing on full-time undergraduate students during fall semesters, specifically freshmen international students, is illustrated. To facilitate a cross-country comparison of international students, this study presents an analysis of retention and graduation data across different countries spanning the past five years, from 2016 to 2020.

With the current sources of US supply chains being more diversified than before, China’s share in US goods imports is declining while Mexico becomes the largest exporter to the US market in 2023. However, can Mexico use this trade diversion to successfully outweigh China in US supply chains? This paper thus investigates whether the Mexico manufacturing sector is competitive enough to completely replace its Chinese counterparts and rise to a strategically vital supplier for the US economy. Based on multiple empirical evidence, we find that although US supply chain sources are shifting from China to Mexico, the major part of the value added of Mexican exports to the US market is generated in China. Moreover, our evidence shows that Mexico’s exports to the US concentrate on low-skill sectors, while China’s mainly consists of high-skill goods. Further discussion shows that the current US trade shift is highly likely due to China’s FDI inflows to Mexico’s traditionally strong export sector, motor vehicles. However, this shift is not significant enough for Mexico to become a capable substitute for China in the US supply chains. We conclude that the "trade diversion" strategy alone cannot support Mexico’s role in reducing the US supply chain dependence on China. Therefore, the US should better consider how to establish a sustainable trade framework that fosters stable cooperation with China.

<b>Background:</b> The phenomenon of "empty nest youth" is becoming increasingly ubiquitous, capturing the attention of society at large. However, few studies have been conducted in recent years on this group, especially focusing on their family and mental health. As such, this study investigates the correlation between family health and well-being among "empty nest youth," as well as the function of social support and loneliness in this relationship. <b>Methods:</b> A cross-sectional survey was conducted from June to August 2022 across 32 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in China, utilizing a multi-stage sampling technique. And we screened individuals who were unmarried, living alone, and between 22-44 years old, resulting in a valid sample size of 908 cases; multiple regression analysis, mediation effect testing, and moderation effect testing are used to examine research hypotheses. <b>Results:</b> The regression analysis results show that family health not only has a direct impact on well-being (<i>β</i> = 0.36, <i>p</i> < 0.001) but also indirectly affects well-being through social support [<i>β</i> = 0.23, 95% CI: 0.19 0.28]. Additionally, the loneliness moderates the predictive impact of not only family health on social support (<i>β</i> = -0.13, <i>p</i> < 0.001) but also social support on well-being (<i>β</i> = -0.06, <i>p</i> < 0.001). <b>Conclusions:</b> These findings underscore the significance of directing policymakers and healthcare professionals towards the "empty nest youth's" familial and social support systems. It underscores the need for the development of policies aimed at addressing their emotional and material requirements by leveraging these familial and social networks. This approach ultimately contributes to the enhancement of their overall psychological well-being, promoting a more coherent and logical pathway for intervention and support.

The concept of maternity care satisfaction focuses on women's expectations and results in women having a positive attitude about the care received during pregnancy, childbirth and after birth. The proportion of births to Ghanaian migrant mothers in China is increasing, and there is an increasing demand for information regarding their reproductive health. To reduce maternal and neonatal morbidity and death rates, it is crucial for foreign women who use maternity services to be satisfied with their care. Ghanaian women's birth experiences in China might be harmed by language and cultural disparities. Little is known about their experiences in China's homogeneous society. A survey of 317 postnatal Ghanaian foreigners in Zhenjiang, China provided the study's data and was analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The results showed that (76%) of postnatal foreigners were satisfied with delivery care. Though the satisfaction level was high, respondents raised the issues of poor communication (62.8%) and high cost of delivery care (52.4%) as some of the general experiences they faced. Healthcare providers’ strengthening routine monitoring of maternal and newborn health programs will help deliver more woman-centered care.

Along with the increasing quality of human life, people pay more attention to healthcare. Public health and one's health have become daily issues. As a branch of communication, more and more scholars pay attention to health communication studies. Supported by the Healthy China Initiative, health communication study has ushered in a new development opportunity. This paper elaborates on the specific practices of health communication in a provincial hospital from three dimensions: (1) how to empower communication with the Healthy China Initiative; (2) the effects of health communication; (3) health communication strategy analysis.

<b>Background: </b>In December 2019, a cluster of patients with unexplained viral pneumonia was identified in Wuhan, China. Since March 11^th 2020 the WHO declared COVID 19 as a pandemic with rising number of cases all over the world. <b>Aim of the work: </b>The aim of the study was to measure the percentages of possible, probable and provisionally excluded cases among the first 500 attendants of the triage of Ain Shams University Hospital and describe their epidemiological and clinical characteristics. <b>Patients and Methods: </b>This was a retrospective descriptive case series study including the first 500 patients attending the triage of Ain Shams University Hospitals from March 29th to May 31st. A constructed questionnaire in the form of a scoring system was used and data was collected through interviewing the patients after appropriate consent. <b>Results: </b>As regard the scoring system, 72.2% of patients had new onset of cough or old worsened cough in the previous 3 days, 59.2% had sore throat and 59% had dyspnea. Out of the 500 cases 33.2% were probable, 38.2% were possible and 28.2% were provisionally excluded. <b>Conclusion: </b>COVID-19 pneumonia usually occurred at an age younger than 47 years and it was more predominant in the male gender. The most common initial clinical presentations were new dry cough or chronic cough with worsening over the last 3 days, sore throat and/or runny nose and fever. Thirty-eight percent were classified as possible COVID-19 cases, and 33% were classified as probable.

Novel corona virus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, which started in China's Hubei province in 2019, has caused a significant loss of human lives globally. This study describes the epidemiologic and clinical profiles of COVID-19 related deaths among patients admitted to treatment centers in Sidama region, Ethiopia. A cross-sectional study of 186 in hospital COVID-19 related deaths that occurred from July 2020 to December 2021 in Sidama region were analyzed. Data was extracted from regional emergency operation center death report. Data was entered using Epidata v3.1 and analysis was done using SPSS v.20. Categorical data was summarized using frequency and percentage while continuous data was summarized using median and interquartile range. Association between variables was assessed using chi-square test. More than two-third of the deceased patients were male (135; 72.6%) and median age at death was 60. The majority of deaths (151; 81.1%) occurred in 2021, while April 2021 had the highest death records. Cough and shortness of breath were the main presenting symptoms occurring in 89.2% and 85.5% of deceased patients respectively. Most of the COVID-19 related deaths (64.5%) had associated comorbidities. Diabetes (50%) and Hypertension (39.2%) were the most prevalent comorbidities. Significant proportion of patients (74.73%) presented on severe end of disease spectrum (critical/ severe). Of the deceased patients, around two-third required Intensive care unit (ICU) admission and 111 of them were put on mechanical ventilator. Moreover, the median ICU stay was 4 days. Around half of the death (48.4%) occurred in the first 5 days. The median survival time from symptom onset was 11.5 days with most (43.5%) of the deaths occurring within the first 14 days of symptom onset. Age category was significantly associated with the number of days from onset to death (p=0.006). The case fatality rate was 1.87% which is lower than national and global reports. Unlike previous studies, the prevalence of asthma among deceased patients was low and there were no patients with documented COPD.

In mid 2000s, a new Fintech era has commenced which is known as “Crowd lending” or “FinTech Credit” whereby credit activities are realized online through internet platforms that match borrowers with lenders (investors). Those kinds of lending activities are named Peer to Peer Lending (P2P). The purpose of this study to elaborate the functioning and regulatory framework of P2P lending in US and China. Those two countries can be considered as two conspicuous example of the application of P2P lending especially in terms of regulation. China transformed its P2P market in 2015 after a long loose regulation period and US from the very beginning applied a strict regulation on the market. By that way, a set of terms of regulation is aimed to be proposed especially for the emerging market countries. It is thought that P2P lending can contribute to the economic development of the emerging market countries if it is applied properly. The contribution of this study to newly developing literature is to provide a comparison and also a set of terms of regulation to be applied in the emerging market countries.

Introduction:</b> The city of Wuhan in China reported the first case of coronavirus, termed as SARS-CoV-2, in December 2019. To date, 187,827,660 cases have been reported to the WHO (3). With current research focusing on potential therapeutic agents for the coronavirus disease and vaccines, there remain major gaps in our understanding of the pathophysiology and clinical course of this viral pneumonia. Secondary infections are one of them. In this systematic review, we analyze the outcomes of two fungal infections in patients of COVID-19, viz. Mucormycosis and candida. <b>Methodology:</b> A systematic review has been done on secondary infections with mucor and candida fungi in patients of COVID-19. Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines were used. Twenty-three studies were included in the final analysis. Our review included studies from various countries across the globe. The risk of bias was analyzed using the NIH Quality Assessment Tool for Case Series Studies. This study did not require ethical approval as data was obtained from already available databases, and patients were not directly involved. <b>Results:</b> A total of 23 articles were included in the final review and the total number of patients included was 79 Male: female ratio was calculated to be 1.6 and the average age of patients was 52 years (ranging from 24-86 years). Various types of comorbidities were seen in the included patients, the most common being diabetes mellitus. Among the 18 patients in the cohort of mucormycosis, 7 patients died and four studies did not report patient outcomes. Among the 61 patients, 13 patients died and one patient was still ventilated at the time of publication. <b>Conclusion:</b> Secondary infections after COVID-19 are a cause of major concerns. Further studies and case reports are needed to better understand the various other types of secondary infections and also to formulate strategies to prevent these.

Since the first outbreak of SARS-CoV2, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 in Wuhan, China in the December 2019, the world continues to be in state of fear, uncertainty, tension and anxiety till date and this state might continue because of emerging mutants. The vaccination drive all over the world is continuing, still the new variants are cause of concern, with the aim to prevent the spread of the virus, focus should be on techniques and processes which helps in strengthening our defense mechanism, the immune system. It has becoming clear from several studies that the immune system is greatly impacted by the COVID-19 infection through several inflammatory reactions. The role of balanced diet full of nutrients cannot be overlooked in controlling infectious diseases. A balanced diet which should include plant foods, vitamins and micronutrients and this review wants to emphasize on the preventive role played by the plant foods, vitamins and minerals in COVID-19 infections, to reduce the mortality rate as well as the morbidity in patients who are infected.

This article discusses the effect of the oil shock on some OECD oil-importing countries such as Canada, France, Italy, China, and the United States and some OPEC oil-exporting countries such as Algeria, Iran, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Venezuela. The model is estimated for the years 1976-2021. five annual variables are used for each country. The variables within the model include real oil prices, GDP growth, inflation, real wages, and real effective exchange rates. Real GDP is the main variable that shows the effects of oil prices on the economy, and the impact of oil prices on other model variables will indirectly affect economic activities. For this purpose, we estimate the vector autoregression model. Estimates obtained for different countries show that oil price shocks are one of the variables affecting economic growth. Also, in oil-exporting countries, oil shocks on economic growth are positive and negative in oil-importing countries. Also, Covid-19 is studied as an effective parameter in creating oil shocks.

With the rise of virtual currencies, Bitcoin has gradually become one of the safe-haven tools in the financial market. During situations of worldwide outbreaks of an infectious disease, investors pay special attention to asset allocation. Therefore, this study discusses the outbreak of COVID-19 in China, which has affected financial markets and has led investors to avoid risks through investing in traditional financial products or Bitcoin. We found that during the time of the COVID-19 pneumonia, Bitcoin and gold futures were used for hedging transactions in the face of unstable Chinese market conditions and under the pursuit of investors' maximization of return on investment. Furthermore, there was also no difference between hedging through Bitcoin or gold futures; however, investors had a preference to invest in gold futures for hedging under the assumption that an investor was absolutely risk averse.
